SIXGEN Awarded Seaport Next Gen Contract
SIXGEN is among the 600 companies awarded spots on the SeaPort Next Generation contract vehicle for engineering and program management support services. The award marks SIXGEN's expansion upon current Navy contracts, and strengthens the ability to directly support the Navy task orders across 23 functional areas for the SeaPort-NxG indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. The engineering services category covers 12 functional areas, including engineering, system engineering and safety and process engineering support; research and development; and software engineering, development, programming and network support, according to the final request for proposals. The program management category encompasses 11 functional areas, including financial analysis and budget support; quality assurance; and computer systems analysts.
SIXGEN's contract, N00178-21-R-7000, is supported by small business engineering and program management support vendors including: Delviom, HelmPoint, ByLight, ShorePoint, Nyla Technologies, BullBear Defense Solutions, Xtreme Solutions, Inc., and RedBerry Innovations. The government estimates the Navy will procure $5 billion worth of services annually through task orders issued under SeaPort-NxG. Each multiple-award contract has a base period of two and a half years and an ordering period option of five years. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in Virginia is the contracting activity and received 620 offers through a competitive solicitation for the rolling admissions.
